So what is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a technique in which a hypnotist guides a subject into a trance state. In the trance state, the the subject becomes more suggestible, which allows the hypnotist to give the subject's subconscious suggestions that can help resolve numerous issues, as well as remove unwanted habits and create new, beneficial habits.

What issues can hypnosis help with?

Hypnosis can help with many different issues. These are some of the common ones I help with:

General issues

  • Stress and anxiety - Most hypnotic techniques involve relaxation, so they naturally reduce stress and anxiety. Additionally, I can give you a hypnotic trigger to use at any time to reduce stress, anxiety, worry and nervousness.

  • Insomnia and other sleep issues - Hypnosis works well for quelling an overactive mind and allowing you to fall asleep. We can also work on the issues that are preventing you from sleeping well.

  • Smoking cessation - Hypnosis can help you quit smoking with no withdrawal symptoms or weight gain. However, for this to work, you have to really want to quit smoking, not just feel you need to. Otherwise, you'll go back to smoking after a few months.

  • Childhood traumas - Traumas we experience in childhood can affect us negatively for the rest of our lives. How many sessions does it take to deal with an issue?

It's always hard to predict how many sessions a particular person would need for a particular issue. Everyone responds differently to hypnosis, and each person's issues are unique to that person. We will have a better idea after the first session, and an even better idea in the following week.
